CFA Level I

First Quartile Professionals' Level I program is designed to establish a strong foundation in investment principles and concepts, crucial for aspiring Chartered Financial Analysts. Our program covers key areas essential for understanding and excelling in the CFA Level I exam. The curriculum begins with Ethical and Professional Standards, where students gain an in-depth understanding of the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Quantitative Methods are also a focus, encompassing basic concepts in statistics, probability, and financial mathematics. Additionally, students delve into Economics, covering both microeconomic and macroeconomic principles along with global economic analysis. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to Financial Reporting and Analysis, teaching the fundamentals of financial statement analysis, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. In Corporate Finance, students learn basic principles such as capital budgeting, cost of capital, and corporate governance. Equity Investments and Fixed Income modules introduce the basics of equity markets, securities, and fixed-income instruments, respectively. Our program also provides an overview of Derivatives, covering instruments like options, futures, and swaps, and introduces Alternative Investments, including real estate, commodities, and hedge funds. Lastly, the Portfolio Management and Wealth Planning module covers the basic concepts of portfolio construction and management. The CFA Level I exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions, divided into two 3-hour sessions, making a total duration of 6 hours. To prepare effectively, we emphasize the importance of understanding and memorizing key concepts, practicing multiple-choice questions to build familiarity with the exam format, and attending our comprehensive live and recorded sessions.
